The products of the Cascina

The vegetable garden is the beating heart of our farm. We grow seasonal vegetables following the rhythms of nature and without the use of chemical products, choosing sustainable agriculture that respects biodiversity.

For us, every harvest is different, and the value of the garden lies precisely in this variety: we do not chase perfection, but the quality, seasonality and authenticity of what the earth gives us.

We sell the harvested products directly on the farm, and at certain times of the year it is also possible to experience the harvesting with us.

Bees have been part of the Cascina Colombara project since the beginning. Today we keep several families of bees that play a fundamental role in pollination and the natural balance of the farm.

Our honey comes from patient and respectful work. We produce wildflower honey and acacia honey, in limited quantities, following the natural times of the bees and leaving them with the necessary supplies to face the winter.

Acacia honey tells the story of Trebbia river and its spontaneous vegetation; the wildflower, on the other hand, best expresses the biodiversity of our farmhouse, with aromas and flavors that change from year to year.

Our angustifolia lavender field is located in Trebecco, in Alta Val Tidone, in a family field that we have chosen to enhance. It is a cultivation that combines beauty, sustainability and connection with the territory.

Since 2026 the field has become organic. The flowering, between mid-June and mid-July, transforms this corner of the hill into an immersive landscape, rich in scents, colors and pollinating insects.

Our products are born from the collection and steam distillation: essential oil and lavender water.

Alongside the vegetable garden, bees and lavender, we also cultivate other fields mainly intended for hayfield and wheat, in line with the agricultural tradition of the area.
