Cascina Colombara is a farm and agriturismo near Piacenza, nestled on the banks of the Trebbia river. It is a place born from Federica and Marco’s dream of cultivating the land with respect, welcoming people in an authentic way and giving value to a territory, sometimes overlooked, but rich in history.
The vegetable garden, the organic lavender field, the bees and the spaces of the farmhouse are part of a project that focuses on biodiversity, human relations and care of the landscape.

Our story
The farmhouse has ancient origins: it was born in the seventeenth century as a dependency of the Quartazzola Monastery, founded in 1142 and a point of reference for the area thanks to land reclamation, canals and the management of the Trebbia Bridge. Along the Via Postumia and near the Via Francigena, Quartazzola was also a place of passage and welcome for pilgrims.
Over time it has been a stable, barn, granary, warehouse and workshop, and even today its stones preserve the memory of agricultural work and farmer life.
The farm was founded in 1971, with the purchase of the property and the start of cattle breeding to produce milk for Grana Padano DOP. For years, the farmhouse was a true family business, founded on a balance between livestock farming, fields, and self-sufficiency.
After the closure of the livestock farm, in 2021 we decided to realize a long-held dream: to revive Cascina Colombara through new crops, sustainable agriculture, and a hospitality project that enhances the local area.
